KAMERA BOOKS - PRIVACY POLICY
In some circumstances (e.g. when you opt-in to receive a newsletter from us), some of your personal data is held by us. We are committed to managing your personal information in accordance with current legislation and best practice. Our aim is to be responsible, relevant and secure when using your data.
Whenever you provide personal information we will treat that information in accordance with the consent that you have expressly given us. We endeavour at all times to keep your data accurate and secure, and to honour your data preferences with regard to receipt of any marketing from us - e.g. postal communications, email, mobile messaging and telephone calls. Should you wish at any time to stop receiving anything from us, please let us know, either through an unsubscribe link to be found at the bottom of our email communications, or by contacting us through our contact page and we will remove your details from our database.
How we use your data
Your information is all securely held and processed through a third-party, MailChimp, a reputable email marketing management software company. It is not held or stored in any way on our servers. Your record on MailChimp will tell us when you subscribed, when you were emailed, if you looked at the email, if you opened any links in the email. This is not meant to be intrusive, just to help us put together better, more engaging emails in the future.
Your details will not be shared with any other company, group or individual, or disclosed to state institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation. Before we release data on this basis, we will ensure that the information is being provided to a genuine and properly authorised investigation. If we are not satisfied that there are valid grounds for releasing the information, the Data Protection Act does not oblige us to do so. If we refuse to release the information, law enforcement agencies may obtain a court order requiring us to provide it.
